
University Hospital of North Midlands - MTC – Contract
Originally for a two year term but extended to four the University Hospital of North Midlands MTC Contract comprises a body of five contracts covering:
- General Building Works
- Painting and works of redecoration
- Plumbing and mechanical works
- Electrical works
- Roofing works
The approximate total value of works carried out over the last four years is in the order of 5million
Covering maintenance and sometimes small to medium size project works. A minimum works order value of £250.00 is detailed in the contract documents. The contract is however used to carry out works with a significantly greater value. A recent order was placed for an individual project with a value in excess of £600,000.
Larger projects recently carried out under the MTC Contract include;
- Refurbishment of haematology – 400k
- Conversion of offices to AEC – 500k
- Conversion of staff area into Cataract Suite – 600k
The works value is derived, dependent upon contract, by the application of rates from published Schedule of Works or from one off schedules produced by T&R’s specifically to reflect the nature the hospital works being undertaken.
